One unit has a full kitchen and another has a semi-kitchenette. There is also a full apartment (bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen, private entrance) for either the owners or, as at present, a residential on-site caretaker.

There is private on-site parking for four rooms and enough public parking in the immediate vicinity that all guests can park adjacent or very close to the property. Guests have 24 access via front and rear entrances.

Substantial remodeling of the rear of the property took place in 2008. At the time this created a larger residence for the owners, but this new extension has now been split to create the afore-mentioned management apartment and a two-bedroom guest apartment. Further development took place in late 2016 when the building was finally converted from a large Bed & Breakfast operation into a fully-fledged hotel.

The present owners of over seventeen years have gradually created a highly respected first-class accommodation business which differs substantially from anything else in the immediate market. The levels of attention to detail and the nature of the accommodations has carved out a niche in a city where the descriptions ‘authentic’ and ‘unique’ are the guiding community principles.

The current operating model – small independent boutique-style hotel - has now been stabilized, and no substantial operational changes are foreseen. Relatively limited capital expenditure (largely replacement) is expected in the near future; considerable improvements have been made in recent years and no essential work has been identified in the short-term.
