Situated in a coastal rainforest in the traditional ancestral territories of the Nuxalk Nation, the Bella Coola Valley and surrounding area is known worldwide as a destination for salmon fishing, wildlife viewing and photography, and outdoor recreation. The region is particularly popular with international visitors, and is one of the few remaining places in British Columbia, which offers a truly authentic travel experience.

Only a small portion of the original structure exists, there have been subsequent improvements all the way to 2006, resulting in the magnificent structure that exists today. Situated just 15 minutes from the ferry terminal and near the airport, the lodge offers 14 rooms including 12 kitchenettes and 4 full suites. There is also a small restaurant, other buildings include a small cabin for staff, a green house, cabin, tool shed and gazebo with a barbecue area.
The operation is well maintained and very popular with tourist travellers, business people and workers that frequent the area
